Privacy Policy for TSD Track

This policy explains how TSD Track handles information when people use the public landing page, the technician portal, the command portal, and the TSD Mobile iPhone app.

Quick summary

TSD Track is a dealership operations product. It uses account information, work-tracking data, session cookies, and optional device permissions such as camera, photo library, biometrics, and push notifications to provide technician and management workflows. Biometric matching stays on the device, and camera or photo-library access is used only when the user chooses those features.

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to the public TSD Track site, authenticated TSD Track web portals, and the TSD Mobile app. If you access TSD Track through a dealership, employer, or service organization, that organization may control some account and work data within the service.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and profile data, such as name, work email, role, team, and optional mobile phone information.
  • Operational data, such as jobs, VINs, vehicle details, tracked hours, notes, schedules, discrepancies, and workflow records entered or imported into the service.
  • Session and technical data, such as access tokens, refresh tokens, cookies, locale preference, installation identifiers, and standard request metadata needed to keep the service secure and functioning.
  • Optional feature data, such as push-notification tokens and feedback submitted through the app or web experience.

3. How we use information

  • To authenticate users, maintain sessions, and protect access to technician and management workflows.
  • To operate dealership workflows, including tracking work, staffing, discrepancies, reporting, and portal-specific routing.
  • To secure the service, troubleshoot issues, detect misuse, and maintain system integrity.
  • To send optional push notifications and direct users to the correct portal context when they choose to enable notifications.

4. Device permissions and sensitive features

  • Camera access is used when a user chooses to scan a VIN label inside the iPhone app.
  • Photo-library access is used when a user chooses an existing photo to extract VIN information.
  • Face ID or Touch ID is used only to reopen a saved session more securely. Biometric templates stay on the device. The app receives only the success or failure result.
  • Push notifications are optional. If enabled, the service stores installation and token information so it can deliver relevant workflow notifications.

5. Cookies and similar session technology

TSD Track uses cookies and related session storage on the web portals to keep users signed in, maintain security protections such as CSRF handling, remember limited preferences such as locale, and support normal portal navigation. Clearing cookies or signing out may remove active sessions and saved portal state.

6. How information may be shared

  • With the dealership, employer, or organization that provides and administers your access to TSD Track.
  • With service providers or infrastructure vendors that help host, secure, or support the product.
  • When reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce terms, protect safety, or respond to valid legal process.

7. Retention and security

Information is retained for operational, security, support, and recordkeeping needs, subject to customer configuration, administrator actions, and legal obligations. TSD Track uses access controls, authentication safeguards, encrypted network transport, and platform security features such as Keychain-backed storage on iPhone where applicable.

8. Your choices

  • Users can ask their dealership or account administrator to update account details, role access, or retained operational records.
  • Users can disable push notifications in device settings or in supported in-app controls.
  • Users can turn off biometric unlock on the device or in supported app settings, which stops biometric reopening of saved sessions.
  • Users can sign out and clear browser cookies or local device data, which may remove saved sessions and local preferences.

9. Children

TSD Track is designed for dealership staff and business operations. It is not intended for children.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the product evolves. When the public policy changes, the page will show an updated effective date.

11. Questions

If you have privacy or account questions about data in TSD Track, contact the dealership, employer, or administrator that provided your access to the service. They may control account provisioning, imported work data, and day-to-day operational records inside the product.
